Thomas B. Steiger opened a law office in the town of Mercersburg in 1946. The original offices were located at the current office location. In 1954 Thomas B. Steiger moved his offices to 56 S. Main Street. In 1973 Thomas B. Steiger, Jr. joined his father in his practice. In 1993 the law offices of Steiger and Steiger were moved back to the original location at 120 N. Main Street, Mercersburg. In 1995, Shawn D. Meyers joined the law firm and in 1997 was made a partner and the firm renamed Steiger, Steiger & Meyers.
The firm has had a constant practice focused on real estate transactions, estate transactions, estate and probate practice and estate planning. In addition, the firm has served as solicitor for various governmental agencies including boroughs, townships, and more recently Franklin County. The firm has experience in local government issues including land use, zoning, and sewer and water issues. In addition, the firm handles general litigation matters with an emphasis on construction and general contract litigation. Furthermore, as a former assistant district attorney, Mr. Meyers has experience in criminal prosecution and defense.Thomas B. From points south - Follow State Route 16 west from Greencastle, approximately 9 miles to the town of Mercersburg. Proceed north onto Main Street, the offices are located at the first house on the left following the stop light at the intersection of Main Street and Park Street.
From points west -Follow State Route 16 east from McConnellsburg, Fulton County, Pennsylvania approximately 12 Miles to the town of Mercersburg, the offices are on the west side of Main Street in the fourth building south of the MMPW Fire Company on the right hand side of the street.
From Chambersburg and points north - Follow State Route 30 west approximately 8 miles west to the village of St. Thomas; turn left onto State Route 416, follow Route 416 approximately 8 miles to the town of Mercersburg; at the stop sign turn left onto North Main Street. The offices are on the west side of North Main Street, four building south of the MMPW Fire Company.
